STARS: The Powerhouses of the Universe

Planetarium show about stars and stellar phenomena.

This planetarium show takes viewers on a journey through space to explore the life cycles of stars—from their quiet beginnings in clouds of gas and dust to their brilliant, explosive endings. The 30-minute program features narration by Mark Hamill and stunning visuals created by the National Space Centre in Leicester, with an original musical score performed by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. It's an immersive experience designed to help families understand the incredible energy that powers our universe. This show works well for elementary-age children and families curious about astronomy and space. Closed captions are available if needed—just ask a staff member when you arrive at the planetarium. You can purchase tickets through the Adventure Science Center's website, and the museum is open Monday and Thursday from 9am to 3pm, plus Friday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm (with extended summer Friday hours). The center also offers information about accessibility accommodations for all visitors.
