Summit Lake 5th Anniversary Celebration

Mark your calendar for Summit Lake Nature Center's milestone celebration! This four-hour event brings together families for an evening of activities and entertainment. You'll find ongoing crafts, a sensory-friendly indoor room for those who need a quieter space, yard games, and refreshments throughout the celebration. A DJ will provide music in the garden, creating a festive atmosphere as the sun sets. Beyond the casual activities, there's a lineup of scheduled programming to explore. Kids ages 8 and up can try hoverball archery, while younger children will enjoy playtime with Akron Children's Museum. Those interested in fishing can participate in "Fishing Fun" (note that anglers 16 and older will need a valid fishing license). The evening wraps up with a guided Summit Lake hike led by Naturalist Jason, offering a chance to discover the area's natural features and local history.
