Tasty Tuesday brings kitchen science to life at the Discovery Center's FRANKE Kitchen! Kids get hands-on with real cooking, mixing ingredients and experimenting to uncover the chemistry happening in everyday foods. With guidance from experienced instructors, your child will learn practical skills like measuring and mixing while watching chemical reactions unfold—think rising dough or melting chocolate. This session's special creation is a gingerbread dip that participants get to make and enjoy. This program blends STEAM learning with creative fun and real food, making it a great way for kids to build confidence in the kitchen while having a tasty adventure. The session welcomes up to 24 children and is included with regular museum admission. It's perfect for elementary-age learners who are curious about how cooking actually works.
