Tasty Tuesday

Tasty Tuesday brings kitchen science to life at the Discovery Center's FRANKE Kitchen! During this interactive cooking program, kids get hands-on experience mixing, measuring, and experimenting with real ingredients. Working with knowledgeable instructors, children discover the chemistry happening in everyday cooking—from how dough rises to why chocolate melts—while learning practical culinary skills along the way. It's a fun blend of STEAM learning and creative exploration that helps young cooks build confidence in the kitchen. Each session welcomes up to 24 participants and is included with regular museum admission, so there's no extra program fee. Kids leave with both new skills and a better understanding of how science shows up in the foods they eat and make. This program is perfect for children who are curious about cooking, enjoy hands-on activities, or want to explore the connection between science and food in a supportive, playful environment.
