Teens Ride Franklin Transit FREE on July 22

Your teen is invited to experience Franklin's public transit system up close during a special free event designed just for young riders. Teens Try Transit Day gives ages 12–18 the chance to hop on the Blue Route bus and explore local destinations without paying a cent. Buses run every 30 minutes, so participants can build their own day by visiting whichever stops interest them most. The experience kicks off at the Franklin Transit Center downtown, where each teen receives a complimentary wallet packed with coupons and special offers to use throughout the day. Along the route, local partners have lined up free perks and activities. Teens can grab complimentary ice cream, enjoy a free meal coupon, create art projects, and ride a carousel—all at various stops. Franklin Transit staff and volunteers will be on hand to help answer questions and guide riders. Parents are welcome to join in, making this a great way for your teen to build confidence using public transit while discovering Franklin's community spots.
