TOTS! at Cheekwood

Bring your little one to TOTS!, a drop-in program designed for toddlers and their grown-ups at Cheekwood's Children's Garden. Every Tuesday morning, families enjoy hands-on activities, storytimes, and the popular Turtle Talks, where an education team member feeds the turtles and answers questions about these garden residents. Each week features a different theme tied to current exhibitions or the season—in July, you'll explore pond life topics like dragonflies. Storytimes happen at three different times (10 AM, 10:45 AM, and 11:30 AM) so you can join whenever works best, and Turtle Talks run around 10–15 minutes at 11:15 AM. The program runs June through August on Tuesday mornings from 10 AM to noon and is included with your Cheekwood membership or general admission ticket. Since activities take place outdoors, the schedule is weather dependent—call 615-353-9827 or check the Instagram stories the morning of your visit if you're unsure about conditions. Come ready to play and learn; the staff recommends dressing for messy, creative fun!
